In 2020, Toyota Motor will start its " first year of EV " in the Chinese market, and plans to launch three BEVs, namely FAW Toyota IZOA EV, GAC Toyota C-HR EV and Lexus UX EV.

Looking back at 2019, FAW Toyota sold a total of 737,500 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 2%, and its market share increased to 3.5%. GAC Toyota sold 682,008 vehicles last year, a significant increase of 17.59% compared with 580,008 vehicles in 2018. Lexus also achieved the best record in the Chinese market last year, with cumulative sales reaching 200,521 vehicles, achieving a year-on-year growth rate of 24.9%.

In 2020, Toyota China set its annual sales target at 1.76 million units, which is expected to reach 8.6% growth compared to its performance in 2019. In order to achieve this goal, it is inevitable to launch new products. It is also worth noting that FAW Toyota, GAC Toyota and Lexus will each launch a BEV model this year to start Toyota's "first year of EV."

In 2020, FAW Toyota set its annual sales target at 770,000 units, compared with 738,000 units in 2019, with an expected growth rate of 4.3%. FAW Toyota launched new products such as Avalon, the new RAV4, and the new Corolla last year. This year, it will launch the first IZOA EV to enrich its lineup. The car will be officially launched in May this year, with a NEDC range of 400 kilometers.

GAC Toyota plans to launch Wildlander, a new generation of Highlander and C-HR EV this year. Among them, the NEDC range of the C-HR EV reaches 400 kilometers, which is expected to be officially launched in April before IZOA EV. In addition, the first battery electric vehicle UX 300e released by Lexus during the 2019 Guangzhou Auto Show will also be officially launched in the Q2 of this year, with a NEDC range of 400 kilometers.
