At present, SAIC General Motors has four production bases in Pudong Jinqiao, Yantai Dongyue, Shenyang Beisheng and Wuhan branch, with a total of 9 vehicle production plants and 4 powertrain plants nationwide. It has more than 20 product series under three major brands: Buick, Chevrolet, and Cadillac.

In the future, in addition to large-scale introduction of GM equipped with Smart Propulsion technology and a new generation of drive systems, SAIC GM plans to continue to invest 30 billion yuan in new energy technology research and development from 2020 to 2024, and launch more than 9 new energy sources. The models have realized a diversified spectrum of new energy technologies such as 48V light hybrid, HEV full hybrid, PHEV plug-in hybrid and pure electric, and comprehensive coverage of cars, SUVs, crossovers, etc., to meet consumers’ demand for new energy products diversified needs.

In the field of shared travel, SAIC-GM's "Shixing" new energy vehicle time-sharing project was officially launched in 2017, with a cumulative total of 600,000 hours of shared travel and 5.5 million kilometers of shared driving mileage. Last year, the Buick brand and Universal Car Sharing EVCARD joined hands to jointly develop a large market for shared travel. At present, the project has been operating in cities such as Shanghai, Wuhan, Suzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, etc., with a total of 130,000 users and 5.55 million shared hours.
